​About the role

We are partnering with a Defence client delivering complex acquisition and sustainment programs. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager (L2 or L3) to support high value procurement and contract management activities across major ICT capability programs. You will join a leading consulting firm in Canberra and support Defence and Federal Government initatives.

  • Immediate and staggered start options available

  • NV1 clearance is essential and higher clearances will be highly regarded.

  • Senior Consultant or Manager level

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end procurement planning and sourcing activities

  • Develop procurement strategies aligned to program objectives and risk profiles

  • Prepare and review procurement documentation including ATM, RFT and contract documentation

  • Manage evaluation processes and provide recommendations to delegates

  • Lead or support contract negotiations and contract variations

  • Manage supplier performance and commercial risk

  • Provide commercial advice to project managers, engineering teams and senior stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with CPRs, PGPA Act and Defence procurement policies

  • Contribute to governance, probity and audit requirements

About you

  • Demonstrated experience within Defence or Federal Government procurement environment

  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence commercial frameworks

  • Experience managing medium to high value and complex procurements

  • Ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong written capability with experience drafting procurement and contract documentation

  • Current NV1 clearance minimum

  • OPP experience highly desirable
